Blade Runner

The Wizard Of Oz, The Godfather, The Shawshank Redemption, Citizen Kane and Blade Runner.
So many movies, so little words. 250 to be exact. Blade Runner it is.
I have such a mixed review on this movie, did I like it? Didn't I? Your guess is as good as mine. Yet, I'm not about to rush off and watch it EVER again, so I'm thinking its in the negative. To be honest I think its a bit dark and boyish for me, but i can appreciate that its a good movie and extremely well done considering it was made back when dinosaurs roamed the land. I think the cinematography compliments the mood of the movie fantastically and understand why it is a lead example of the neo-noir genre.
It's interesting to see that it is supposed to be set in 2019, because i highly doubt that's what the world is going to be like in a mere ten years, but the graphics and imagination are mind blowing for the times. I also enjoyed how it left you questioning the humanity and moral outlook of Harrison Fords character Rick Deckard, I had no idea he was going to be one of the replicants, but it makes so much sense and was a cheeky wee twist. Also, Mary Sean Young gave a brilliant performance as Rachael, a replicant who truly believed she was human, later finding her 'memories' belonged to someone else.
Overall, I appreciate that this movie is well done and deserves its place in history, but i won't be rushing to amazon anytime soon. (And I'm going over 250, oops.)
